| We have conceived this building with a green avant-garde architecture, reflecting an image of solidness and transparency. This green avant-garde architecture is reflected in its climate-oriented design and in the latest trends in sustainable architecture. Latitude is interpreted by the creation of a vertical landscaping, providing a microclimate that will mitigate the effects of the tropics through the incorporation of a pergola, in keeping with the trend to develop ecological and environmentally-friendly projects. The concept of free plans allows for office rearrangement free from obstacles and with enough flexibility to achieve the optimized use of the space.
Energy saving: The pergola surrounding the building serves as a filter for solar radiation, thus reducing the internal heat load, consequently saving around 15% in energy consumption. This, together with temperature sensors, make this building a smart building –the perfect alternative to reduce the use of expensive technology. The glass façades filter the light and provide natural lighting to all the offices. Since this is a narrow building, enough light penetrates to allow working without having to turn on artificial lights. Clarity sensors provide smartness to the facility.
Acoustic isolation: The stone walls isolate sound and also contribute to thermal isolation.
Direction: The narrow rectangular floor plan is ideal to take advantage of the natural lighting in the offices and the possible cross ventilation.
All materials, such as stone and glass, were chosen for their durability and minimal maintenance. Thus, we avoid the use of paint. Vertical landscaping creates a microclimate that is both refreshing and, at the same time, provides a private green area that prevents dazzling reflections within the offices, reduces stress for its users, and provides a stimulating workplace. |
