This is the fifth branch we have designed for BAC San José. The La Bandera round-about is an important landmark in the city. The round-about resolves traffic by making it circle around, leaving the building exposed to multiple views. Following the architecture we proposed in the first branch in 1994 as a corporate image for the Bank in which protagonist roofs, transparency, the combination of brick and cement blocks in the walls, and landscaping are combined. This architecture was adapted to the specific conditions of place and the National Flag was incorporated in the design axis. The Flag, due to its size and height, is in constant movement and is a focal point in the area. This branch is composed of a principal building, a drive-thru bank, and ATMs with their adequate routes and entries.
A fountain for a sculpture, 25 trees and 36 palm trees contribute the necessary shade and freshness. The roof with its great eaves gives the building shade and protects the entries from the parking spaces. A series of open metal frames that become wider as they go back cover the cashier’s lobby with its 3 palm trees.
